School Boards
There are 4 school boards that cover the entire Bay Cloverhill neighbourhood.
By default, the education portion of Toronto property taxes are directed to the Toronto District School Board, allowing residents to cast a vote for a Toronto District School Board trustee. In order to vote for a trustee for any of the other boards, you must redirect your taxes to support that board by contacting the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation online or calling 1-866-296-6722. Voters that own or rent commercial property only in Toronto are not eligible to vote for a school board. Voters that own or rent residential property can vote only for one school board trustee, for the school board that their property taxes are directed to, as long as they meet the religious and language requirements noted above.
In June 2025, the provincial government appointed Supervisors for the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board under authority of the Education Act, limiting the powers of elected trustees. In November 2025, Bill 33 Supporting Children and Students Act, 2025 further restricted trustees. In April 2026, the provincial government enacted Putting Student Achievement First Act, 2026 and reduced the number of wards for school boards to a maximum of 12, affecting the Toronto District School Board by reducing the number of wards from 22 to 12, thereby changing ward boundaries.
