Until a nomination paper is filed, a person cannot raise or spend any money on their campaign. Electoral district boundaries are the same for provincial/municipal elections for MPP and City Councillor. Federal district boundaries for MP's are different. However, School Board Trustee Wards have different boundaries. The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) realigned their school trustee wards in April 2026, in line with new provincial legislation. The Bay Cloverhill neighbourhood is now part of TDSB Ward 7. The TDSB remains under supervision of the Minister of Education. The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) remains under supervision of the Minister of Education. The TCDSB ward boundaries remain unchanged. The Bay Cloverhill area is included in TCDSB Ward 9.
