A very warm welcome to our newest member, Karma Condos at 15 Grenville Street! We congratulate the Board of TSCC 2532 and their Property Manager on becoming part of the Bay Cloverhill Community Association and look forward to their participation in making the neighbourhood better for everyone. In 2009, Lifetime Developments partnered with CentreCourt Developments to create a 50 storey, 498 unit condominium building named Karma Condos. Occupancy began in 2016. One of the interesting parts of the complex is the John Irwin House at 21 Grenville. This Second Empire style home is designated under Part IV and Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act, since it was built in 1873 for John Irwin, and occupied by a civil engineer named W. D. Hale. The property survived demolition of many houses on Grenville in 1922, as a result of the expansion of Bay Street to accommodate Maple Leaf Gardens and Eaton's College Street store (now College Park). During the construction of Karma Condos, the historic house was relocated from the northwest corner of the property to the northeast corner, at the leisurely rate of 10 inches per day.
